You have just to take the lift and you get on the promenade where you have a direct access to the beach with its many "chirinquitos" (beach restaurants) all integrated into a large promenade featuring green areas, tennis courts and children's play areas. The beach is equipped with many public showers. In the summer period lasting from 15-jun to 15-sep, the whole beach is cleaned up every morning and supervised by swimming coaches. Almost all year long, you can rent long chairs and sun umbrellas on the beach for 3€ a chair and a day. You can walk also eastward along this several kilometers long promenade until the fishing harbour and marina at Caleta de Velez. In 2012, the city has integrated a dedicated and very smooth in-line rolling and bike path along the full beach promenade giving it a look like Santa Monica or Venice Beach in California. Don't hesitate to bring your in-line rollers with you. There are also places to rent bikes nearby the apartment.
Our building is located in the middle of the historic center. You have everything within a short walk day and night. No need for a car. The surrounding area is a good place to get out with many restaurants opened all year round. There are a lot of shops to buy food and also different kinds of take-aways. The apartment is fitted with everything to cook what you like. We have no reserved parking lot but there are lots of free parking and also paying parkings in the neighborhood with free space all the time even in the summer.
Our apartment had originally a not so large terrace. We have closed it with a large window bay and extended our living room with a sea view. All year round we are living with open windows bringing bright light and fresh sea air in the apartment.
We do not have a private swimming pool. We do prefer swimming in the sea just in front of the apartment. We are getting several times a day in the water in the summer. Swimming pools in the area are generally shared, small, full of people when opened and just shutted down outside the summer months. Note that the temperature of the sea water does not allow to swim comfortably outside the summer but it never gets below 12 degrees C. It reaches 20 degrees C and more from july until september/october.
Our apartment is part of the first high buildings built in Torre del Mar in the 60's. We bought our apartment in the early 70's. We are residing in Belgium but the majority of owners in the building are spanish and even andalousians. Almost all apartments including ours have been fully renewed in the last years. The building including its lifts is well maintained and re-fitted when necessary by the association of owners. There are many people living in the building all over the year. The building remains calm including in july and august when almost all apartments are occupied.
We have contracted a local professional agency located 500m away of the apartment to take care of our tenants during their whole stay. They take care of the initial clean up and make sure you get the keys on your arrival day. They get little problems fixed in no time. They speaks english, spanish, german, french and italian.
The Maria Zembrano train station located in the center of Malaga where high speed trains (AVE) from Madrid and elsewhere are ending, is 40 minutes away via a direct bus line leaving Torre del Mar not far from the apartment. From that train station, there is a kind of subway line crossing the Malaga international airport (AGP) with a train every 30 minutes. It costs about 5€ per person to reach the apartment from the airport by train and bus. Torre del Mar has also its main taxi station near the apartment. It costs about 50€ to reach the apartment from the airport with a taxi coming from Torre del Mar. We can send you such a taxi which will wait for you at the airport.
Smoking is tolerated only in the dining room as long as the windows are opened at that moment in order to let the air circulate across the room. Sleeping rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. No tobacco smell may remain anywhere after your stay.

|Notas adicionais:||We have also monthly rates from a stay of at least 1 month long in low season: 500 euros a month for a single month, 450 euros a month from 2 months, without electricity. Otherwise electricity is included for up to 20 euros per week or 7 nights which is enough if you don't abuse the air-conditioning system. (freezing temperature with windows wide opened)
We are asking a small deposit at the booking. The deposit is made on the spanish bank account of my father owning the apartment. The balance is paid when you get the keys in the apartment. We have rented quite regularly in the summer and in the winter since the apartment were fully re-fitted in 2007. Until now we always refunded the damage deposit thanks to the good care brought by our tenants to our apartment.
