At "La Asomadita" we aim to transport you into the past.
We want to take you back to 1950, when the house was built.
At that time, the Agaete Valley, on the island of Gran Canaria, was (and remains) one of the most enviable spots in the world. Its inhabitants lived without haste. They spoke wisely, had tropical fruits in their diet, lay in the sun and watched the heritage of sea and mountains from their white homes with pride.
Its owner restored and redecorated the house inspired by this kind of "unhurried living", in keeping with the laws of nature, as they used to do then. For this purpose, she mixed light colours with wood, used locally quarried stone and kept the large windows present in all the rooms.
"When you first enter the house you will notice that the windows are the best pictures hanging on the walls. All the rooms offer spectacular views. On the one side, Tamadaba Nature Park, a privilege. On the other, the Atlantic."
The Agaete Valley has maintained its beauty, its contrasts and its charm over the years. It exudes harmony and peace, calm and tranquility and is a corner of the island impossible not to enjoy.
La Asomadita is fully equipped with every convenience. Its 600 square metres are distributed among the following areas:
4 double bedrooms: 2 of them en suite and with ample dressing rooms. All bedrooms are bright and comfortable, with large windows.
Its decoration combines old and modern items and materials, which provide comfort and relaxation.
1 small lounge convertible into a bedroom also with sea views.
3 bathrooms finished in exquisite Portuguese pink marble and wood.
The old central courtyard has a gabled roof and its original flooring and stone staircase have been preserved.
Around the courtyard there is a lounge with fireplace, a second games room with a pool table and a dining room. These three rooms still retain the original mosaic floors.
The ground floor also has a toilet and a very large room with a large window, which houses a large kitchen diner.
In fact, the kitchen has been conceived as the most important room in the house, not only because of the spectacular views that it enjoys, but because it combines rustic elements with cutting edge technology. Equipped with the best appliances, it is also a welcoming spot for gathering together in conversation.
From the kitchen there is also access to the laundry room and pantry.
Private pool HEATED WITH SOLAR PANELS from 9th November 2014, overlooking the Natural Park of Tamadaba.
The house also has a porch, connected to the main hall, and a large outdoor terrace and gardens.
