Apartment La Barraca: one bed apartment, sleeps 4, with double sofa bed in lounge. American style fitted kitchen with washing machine, cooker, extractor, microwave, fridge. TV in lounge. sofa bed, dining table and 4 chairs. Bedroom with fitted wardrobe and dressing table. Bedside tables with reading lamps. Glass doors onto balconet. Large furnished balcony off lounge with wonderful views of the mountains. Benidorm can be seen in the distance. Large bathroom with bath, shower over, wash basin, toilet and mirror.
Lovely shared pool and shower, also childrens pool. Well kept gardens and seating area. The property has air con and heating included in the price. Also iron and ironing board. Clothes airer for the balcony. Altea has lots of shops, bars and cafes and not least
a lovely old town with great places to eat and a lovely sea front and harbour. Albir is about a fifteen min. walk from Altea and has a nice sandy beach. Alicante is 43 kilometres away and has a bus service to Benidorm. which is then just a taxi ride to Altea. Their is one restuarant and a friendly tapas bar just a few mins. walk from the property. A car would be an advantage as their is lots to see along this coastline and inland without travelling long distances. Calpe is about 15 mins away and is well worth a visit. The rocky headland at Calpe is a nature reserve. Benidorm, in the other direction to the south of Altea is also about 15-20 mins away. All the towns have fabulous markets, Altea is on a Tuesday. so you can choose you own day to go. The Fonts de Algar waterfalls about 10 mins away by car have deep pools and high boards to jump from. Lovely scenary and great for a picnic. Take your swimwear.
A car would be an advantage as their are no buses from outside the apartment. Taxis are available. The trains runs along the coast and stops at Altea. Buses also run from Altea to Benidorm, from there many more places are accessable by bus.
Airport transfers may be available on request at extra cost
The apartment is on the 1st floor so their are steps.
