A detached holiday home in picturesque countryside, surrounded by olive and orange groves and yet only 3 kilometres away from Orgiva, the Alpujarras main town. The house is built in natural stone from the area and designed to keep the house cool in the summer. It is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. A peaceful mountain retreat with blue skies and sunshine nearly all year round.
The grounds of the property provide plenty of space to sit and relax. In front of the house there is a partly covered terrace which leads on to a large swimming pool (7x4m) and outside shower directly above. The pool is beautifully tiled and surrounded by Andalusian terracotta. Between the pool and the terrace there is a huge rock. The terrace has a brick barbecue and there is ample garden furniture for sitting and sunbathing.
The house is entered via the terrace into the lounge which consists of a comfortable sitting area with open fireplace, a dining area and an open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen. At the back of the house there are two modernly furnished bedrooms and an elegantly tiled bathroom with shower unit. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge which can sleep an extra two adults.
The property was built in 2004 in the architectural style of the area. Of particular aesthetic interest is the roof and ceiling which are made in the traditional way with visible chestnut beams against whitewashed arches. Guests can therefore experience a cosy and rustic ambience, as well as enjoying the benefits of a newly furnished and equipped house.
The holiday home is reached by a 500m track and there is parking space close to the house. Orgiva (a 15minute walk or a few minutes by car) is the nearest place for shopping, banks and other amenities and the closest bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk. Salobrena (a 40 minute drive) offers a good selection of beaches and Granada and the amazing Alhambra Palace (60 minutes) are well worth a visit.
